As a founding member of the experimental theater ensemble Implied Violence (est. 2003), Mistress O’Connell generated, performed in and contributed to all Implied Violence projects. Her role within the company was a very unique combination of dramaturge, director, playwright, manager, designer, and performer. Mandie resigned from her position as Co-Artistic Director in 2010. She relocated to Berlin, Germany, where she has established her new performance company, Knuckle Cartel.
*Project completed after O’Connell’s departure from Implied Violence. She made significant conceptual and textual contributions to the project.
**Implied Violence Lead Artists: Mandie O’Connell, Ryan Mitchell, Lily Nguyen, Jessie Smith, and Megan Birdsall.
